IN LAGOS: The Wife Of A Policeman Picked Up A Fight With Neighbour, Stabbed Her And Fled.

Report from The PUNCH claimed that one Mrs. Desola Ochoche, who happens to be the wife of a police officer attached to the state police command in Lagos had stabbed one of her neighbours known as Mrs. Olaitan Ayobami.

According to PUNCH, the fight started two days ago when the policeman's wife accused Mrs. Olaitan Ayobami of making jest of her, and eventually attacked her while Ayobami also gave her own replied after which the two were pulled apart.

But very early on Monday morning, the worst part of...
their fight began again and the whole of  Etunrere Street in the Ikorodu area of Lagos was in disarray when the policeman's wife stabbed Ayobami who was on her way trying to go out that morning.

It was learnt that Mrs. Desola fled the visinity having discovered that the woman which she had stabbed was lying on the floor bleeding and could eventually die, but in no time, some witnesses of the incident quickly rushed Ayobami to a nearby hospital in order to save her life.

Later, Ochoche was arrested by policemen from the Igbogbo Police Division, but was released some after her arrest. But Ayobami said that she wanted Ochoche to be brought to back, adding that she was still in pains.

Ayobami gave her own side of the story after she had been attended to, in the hospital saying,

“On Saturday, I left my phone in my kitchen and when I went back to pick it, I found it inside water. I wanted to challenge Iya Oby (Ochoche), but my husband warned me not to do so because I didn’t have evidence. On Sunday, she started singing abusive songs against me, but I did not reply.''

“At a point, I laughed and she became angry. She poured water on me and we fought. While I was going to the bathroom on Monday morning, she attacked me and we fought again. Her husband separated us and warned her to let peace reign.''
“I was going to school when she attacked me in the corridor and stabbed me with a very sharp  broken bottle. Her husband, who is a policeman, took her to the Igbogbo division, but she has been released. I want her charged to court.”

Mrs. Ochoche who also spoke agreed to have stabbed Ayobami. She, however, claimed that she reacted to have a revenge of an injury earlier inflicted on her by the teacher.
She disclosed, “I have been warning her to stop insulting me with songs. She would accuse me of flirting around just because I am not employed. It is true I stabbed her but she had used something to injure me in the face while we were fighting around 6am on Monday. I revenged so that she would know she cannot intimidate me.”
But she was asked if it was Ayobami’s laughter that actually caused the Sunday’s fight, she said,
“I don’t know. I am on medication and want to sleep.”
The owner of house in which both women reside with their respective family said that, the two tenants had been in strong dissagreement for quite a long time. The Landlord said that he had intervened in their numerous fight times without number and it seems that the two women can never end their dispute, so, as a result, he had issued their husbands quit notices to vacate his house.

The police spokesperson in the state, SP Dolapo Badmos, said it was a case of affray, since the women has been involving in an instantaneous fight that has been disturbing the peace of the house and that of the environment and he further disclosed that they would be charged to court soon.
