Yesterday 12th of April, Mr. Isaac Adewole, Minister of Health paid a visit to one Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada, where a girl of 14 years of age known as 'Faith Andrew' was receiving medical treament for a kidney disease but the medical pratitionists stopped giving the girl the deserved medical attention when the widowed mother of the girl could not afford to pay the N7M of her kidney transplant bills.
So, upon the arrival of the...minister to the hospital, he was informed about the situation of Faith and also her pauper widow's mother, and after much deliberation and analysis on the girl's problems, the minister announced that the Federal government will henceforth take responsibility of the
girl's medical bill.
