LASSA FEVER KILLED TWO PEOPLE IN NASARAWA STATE.

        Early today, two people have been confirmed dead in Nasarawa due to the outbreak of Lassa fever in the state.

       Dr. Daniel Iya, who is the present commissioner for health, broke the news to the public that two persons were confirmed dead at the Dalhatu Specialist Hospital in Lafia, which is the State capital of Nasarawa.

public hearing organized by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly’s committee on health in Lafia.

       Dr. Iya  also stated that the state Governor, Umaru Al-Makura had released a total amount of N5.9m to control and prevent the spread of the virus all over the state.
       He also disclosed to the public that the governor has assured the people of the state to build an isolation unit in the state capital, Lafia, which will effectively isolate and treat people affected with the virus.
