The just re-elected governor had a low key get together party at the state government house which was attended by family members,a few friends, and a number of staff.
The events was scheduled to mark the governor 50th birthday with a visit to the motherless babies home.
Governor Dickson recalled that life started for him as a one-time struggling barrister and the way everything has changed for him as regards to his life-story over the years.
He also had a thanksgiving service as part of the program of event to mark his 50th birthday.
