Mrs Idongesit Ekpo, the wife of a tricycle rider was shot dead by a trigger happy police officer Aremu Musesiu while he attempted to extort bribe from the tricycle rider, Godwin Ekpo at the Obalagbe bus stop in Isheri Osun in Lagos state last year.
Following the unfortunate killing of their mother thanks to a trigger-happy policeman,the Nigerian Police Force on Monday offered scholarship to her four children.
The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Owoseni Fatai, who made the presentation on behalf of the Inspector General, Mr. Solomon Arase, said the officer has already been dismissed and would face prosecution.
“As for now, it covers up to secondary school level and the Scholarship Trust Fund is expected to cover higher level education, subsequently,” said, Mr. Owoseni.
