The measures, consisting of foot and vehicular patrols as well as neighbourhood watch and vigilante groups, according to the Police Commissioner, have been yielding positive results, making it impossible for criminals to operate effectively in the state.
One of the suspects, having been severally released on bail, admitted that he has been driving the criminals whenever they went for their operations. He had been arrested on different occasions.
Mr Oladunjoye also added that apart from vandalizing the Jos Electricity Distribution Company equipment, the slippers of the railway line of the Nigeria Railway Corporation were not spared by the criminals that succeeded in removing them but were caught in the act.
