A large number of Nigerians, no matter what Nigeria has made them go
through still loves Nigeria. Although, they might say otherwise sometimes but deep down in them they truly love Nigeria.
There are some rich Nigerians,
who have the fortune to relocate abroad and yet live permanently in
Nigeria. Even those who work abroad do find time to visit their fatherland every once in a
while to update their Nigerian sense.
The Nigerian sense entail things a
typical Nigerian doesn’t...
joke or play with, e.g a restaurant that sells very
delicious but cheap meals (buka) or a free concert.
Anything free and
cheap catches the fancy of a typical Nigeria, trust a Nigerian to
postpone every other thing, and head the way for cheap things.
Below are five things Nigerians cherished a lot and will never want to play with:
1. Making Money
Nigerians will devise a new strategy or
short cut to make money immediately the former one stops working.
Nigerians of all ages, tribe and religion love making money. Some
Nigerians can do anything for money, even if it is scrubbing toilets as long as
it puts food on their table.
In fact, most Nigerians will stay at a job
they completely hate all because of the pay.
A Famous Nigerian Hip Pop Singer, popularly known as 'Davido' had sometimes released a hit track titled,''OWO NI KOKO'', meaning, ''Money Is The Main Thing', in one of his Music Album. Just for you to know the mindset of Nigerians when it comes to making money.
2. Fashion
Be it local or western. Fashion to
Nigerians is life itself. This simply explains uncountable reasons why Nigerian entrepreneurs
venture into the industry, with numerous aspiration.
Long ago,
tailoring was seen as a profession for those who could not pursue academic career but in this present time, not any more. University graduates and undergraduates are
more in the business even than the so-called illiterates.
3. Party
May be, it is a wedding ceremony, birthday, house
warming, or any other type of gathering where food and drinks flow
recklessly, Nigerians would easily dedicate a whole day to be there to take a part and enjoy the goodies.
Many Nigerians have dedicated their time going to parties during weekend, apart from the normal weekends football matches fixtures many cannot afford to miss.
4. Holidays
From Christmas to New Year, Easter to Workers
Day to Democracy day to Independence day, a Nigerian worker cherishes
these days. The fact that these are days they don’t have to work make
Nigerians happy. A lot of foreigners have queried that Nigeria has too
many holidays within a year.
5. Football
Whether our national teams and local clubs
are doing well or not, it doesn’t kills the love of Nigerians for
football. The English premier league has become a compulsory activity at
weekends and Nigerian wives, who love their husband’s company have also
become supporters so as to win their husband’s admiration and keep them
at home.
Nigerian’s love for football has explains so many reasons why sport betting
business has become one of the most thriving businesses in
Nigeria today, most especially the youths and of course including a lot of married men who loved to watch their teams playing and betting on them to win a match for them to actually win certain amount of cash.
I tell you, Nigerians no dey carry last oh..........
