JUST IN: HOW BUHARI WILL DEAL WITH CORRUPT OFFICIALS---PROPHET PREDICTS

Prophet Akande cited disobedience as the reason for the economic hardship the world was facing. He said that God had used hunger in the past to punish humans for the sin of disobedience and it was evident that the same was happening now.

The presiding pastor at Christ Apostolic Church, Abiye Prayer Mountain in Ede, Osun state Prophet Timothy Akande has predicted that corrupt officials in Nigeria will face the wrath of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Leadership reports that the prophet said corrupt people must be ready to reap what they had sown and urged the president not to relent in his fight against corruption. He also advised that recovered loots should be wisely used.

Some Nigerians are already on the radar of anti-corruption agencies in a bid to recover the loot they allegedly stole while in service. Northern leaders have however warned the president to be careful of selective prosecution as it would be unfair if some people are made to face the law while some equally corrupt people are spared.

One of the high profile money laundering cases making the rounds in Nigeria is the prosecution of Col. Dasuki Sambo who was the national security adviser under the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.

According to reports, the president has been able to save millions of naira since his introduction of a single account for the country.

President Buhari has emphasized that the war against corruption is a priority as it is considered the reason for Nigeria’s poor economic position.
